Many people have asked us, "Why did you all chose the name Zandolie? It sounds so... different.?" 

When deciding on a name for the company, we wanted to use something short and unique, with local connotations.  The word "Zandolie" is a patois (broken French) derivative for a small gecko-type lizard.  Loosely, it has been used to refer to any ground lizard, but we have chosen to model our mascot after the "The White-banded Gecko" (gonatodes vittatus vittatus) as pictured here.  It's pretty cute, as far as reptiles can be cute, and it's indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago.  It's also quick, productive, efficient and unobtrusive.  In short, it's how we would like our company to function.
