Local Area Networks (LANs) can be simple or complex depending business needs.  Below are examples of each:

The Simple Office LAN shows a number of PCs connected together to a common hub to share files, print and access the Internet.  It also allows Laptops and Handheld devices to communicate wirelessly with both the LAN PCs and the Internet.  Apart from the cost of the computers and other devices, such a network is fairly easy to set up either as a loosely configured Workgroup or a centralised Domain with the only recurring expenditure being the high-speed Internet access which may cost roughly TT$500 per month.

The Business Type LAN shows several PCs and Servers with specialised roles.  This is the type of LAN found in enterprise type businesses worldwide and allows for increased functionality, flexibility and security. Unfortunately, this increased power normally needs to be overseen by an IT Administrator and Technical Support staff.  Luckily for you, Zandolie Networking can provide such support.
