Pricing

Pricing information on an I.T. Service Company’s web site is a rare thing. This is so because this industry contains so many variables that it makes it difficult to put actual figures before appraising a job. When prices are quoted, they are done on a “per hour” basis which is still vague for a customer who has no idea of how long a job would take or how many man-hours are needed. However, this has prevented many small businesses from embracing the technology since they would like to have an idea of what figures they are up against.

For this reason we have put price guidelines to assist our potential customers. We have listed our “per hour” charges in order of the expertise necessary to complete a type of job and below that we have listed the average time taken to complete the specified job.  All prices are stated in TT$.

Service Level Required Cost in TT$
Basic I.T. Technician rate: $250 per hour or part thereof
Advanced I.T. Technician rate: $300 per hour or part thereof
I.T Engineer rate: $350 per hour or part thereof

Disclaimer

Customers must be aware that Operating Systems are complex animals. For example, Windows XP Professional contains over 40 million lines of programming code and Server 2003 another 10 million more. These Operating Systems were built by over 5000 developers. No one person has a complete picture of all the code within the OS. In fact, at the point of its completion Windows 2003 Server represented the biggest software project ever undertaken. If each line of code is looked at as a ‘moving part’ in a machine it’s a wonder that it does not ‘break down’ more often. Consider this coupled with other applications that are installed on your PC and one could now begin to understand what we mean by “one complex animal”.

With this in mind the customer must understand that I.T. technicians are just that: technicians – human beings who have relative expertise in their area of computing and networks. As a result, Zandolie Networking does not hold itself responsible for any software damage that might occur during installation or troubleshooting. However, the customer should note that we will never bill a customer if a problem cannot be solved.

To further show support in the competence of our technicians we are willing to reimburse customers a maximum of TT$300 for a Desktop PC or $500 for a Server that has crashed due to our activity and can not be brought back up successfully.
