General Information on our Network+
Programme The demand for skilled network support professionals continues to grow. CompTIA’s Network+ is a valuable credential to help start or enhance a networking career. Network+ validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals an international, vendor-neutral certification. It recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. Our training covers more than is required for the Network+ examination, but necessary for the Network Technician to know. For example, CompTIA’s syllabus does not cover the installation of Network Operating Systems such as Linux, Windows Server 2003 and Netware. However, we consider such practice imperative. The basics are reiterated and expanded into a comprehensive Network Training Programme enabling our graduates to become true “Field Technicians”. Further, we do not try to impress with the ‘bells and whistles’ approach. Sure it’s exciting to use remote control software to manage distant clients. But, if a technician cannot deduce that a computer is being blocked by a firewall using basic windows commands, then he’ll be at disadvantage. We stress the importance of covering a specific syllabus. |
